Oh Middle School- there’s nothing quite like it. Everything is changing–new school, new friends, new adventures, growth spurts, voice changes, and so much more. One thing that will never change though, is God’s love for these young people and the important role they play in the life of the church.
The 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of the month, the youth are encouraged to worship God with their families and friends during at the 10:00am service. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, the youth are invited to The Avenue to explore scripture, have conversations about their faith, and what God is doing through the stories of the Bible and the story of their own life. Melanie Albury and Karen Nicholson will be facilitating these discussions.
On the 2nd and 4th Sundays, the 7th-8th graders are invited to come to Common Ground- where faith intersects with life- from 6:00-8:00pm in The Avenue. We will play games, build friendships, and grow in our faith through conversations about topics that are important to adolescents. We will use the re:Form curriculum as a launch pad for these discussions and discuss how our faith intersects with, and shapes, our daily life.
The fifth Sunday of the month will be Fantastic Fifth at Common Ground. Grades 7-12 will unite for a Fantastic Fellowship adventure. These adventures can be anything from a Foursquare Scavenger Hunt, to bowling, to laser tag, to a snow ball fight.
