FOCUS: HOPE – Bi-monthly Saturday morning delivery of food to families in need in the Pontiac area. -more-
SOS – One-week homeless shelter at Nardin Park for about 30 adults and children referred by South Oakland Shelter. -more-
HARVEST ALTAR/FOOD BOXES – Food boxes located in the church for regular collection and Thanksgiving Sunday collection of food items to be donated to St. Alexander’s.
CHRISTMAS GIFT GIVING – Gifts to needy persons at Farmington Neighborhood House and Project Angel Tree (gifts for families of prisoners).
NOAH PROJECT – Our involvement with NOAH (Networking, Organizing, and Advocating for the Homeless) includes financial support, volunteer days, and fundraising dinners. -more-
CAFE NARDIN – We offer lunches/dinners 3-4 times a year, and the goal is to provide you with a delicious meal, an opportunity for fellowship, and in the end supporting a mission.
LOOSE COIN OFFERING – What happens to all the loose change collected every Sunday? Each week it is counted and allocated to the mission of the month. We support our own mission projects and outside projects, such as South Oakland Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, and Salvation Army.
APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT – A one-week youth summer (June/July) program (ASP) with adult leadership, involving them in home repair projects in Appalachia, cultural understanding, and group enrichment. -more-
VOLUNTEERS IN MISSION (VIM) – Two-week work team for adults to Latin America, where we build houses and host Vacation Bible School for children and crafts for the mothers.

WORLD SERVICE FUND/CONFERENCE BENEVOLENCES – Heart of our denomination-wide presence, funded through our apportionments of the United Methodist Church, strengthening our evangelism efforts and helping God’s children everywhere by meeting their daily physical and spiritual needs.
ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING – Offering taken during Lent to assist people worldwide who strive to feed and support their families and work toward a better life.
Mission Endowment Fund
This fund, under the recommendation of the mission work area and direction of the Board of Trustees, is used annually for mission projects of the Detroit Conference of the United Methodist Church.
