Special Programs

Special programs occur throughout the year and provide additional opportunities for children to come together for a specific purpose of learning and outreach.

Church Family Events  are planned for all of our church “family.” These events are meant to be intergenerational gatherings that bring us all together in a child friendly atmosphere.

Easter Egg-Stravagant  is a time to hear the Easter story, make Easter projects, dye Easter eggs, and look for Easter eggs on the church lawn (weather permitting).

Vacation Bible School, in the second week of August, is always a unique experience and a highlight of the year for everyone involved.

Share and Care opportunities are planned throughout the year to help children experience the fulfillment of caring for others. Collecting for UNICEF, providing mittens and socks for the Warm Fuzzy Tree or bringing food for the hungry give children a lesson in love as well as supply needs for others.

United Methodist Camps offered by the Detroit Conference of the United Methodist Church offers a variety of camping programs for all ages throughout the state of Michigan.

Advent/Christmas Breakfast & Wreath Making is coming late November. Families will share in making an Advent Wreath to take home along with a devotional booklet to add to their Christmas celebrations. A supper is included in the evening festivities.
