Community Ministries

Beyond the ministries we operate directly, we provide outreach into the community through the use of our facility by others:

Scouting

Nardin Park sponsors scouting units of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Please call the office for contact information and meeting times.  See about the Cub Scout's Pack 389.

Samaritan Counseling Center

Directed by the Rev. Dr. Paul Melrose, the main office of the Samaritan Counseling Center of Southeastern Michigan is located in our building. They provide restorative services of counseling and psychotherapy for personal and relational healing, as well as preventive opportunities through education for spiritual, emotional and professional growth. Organized in 1986 by local congregations to provide quality therapy within the context of a client's religious values, the center uses both theology and psychology while serving clients in an atmosphere of care and respect. In addition to counseling, they offer educational opportunities on such topics as preparation for marriage, vocational concerns, divorce and rebuilding, and professional training. They are a non-profit corporation, supported primarily by fees, set according to a sliding scale based on income and circumstances. For information or to schedule an appointment, call the Center office between 9 a.m. and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at 248-474-4701.
