Nardin Park United Methodist Church hosts a summer vacation Bible school each summer. The dates for this year are August 15 -19, 2011. This week offers children a fun-filled and creative Bible-based program. 2011 program information can be downloaded here.
The program for pre-kindergarten through 6th grade meets from 9:30 a.m. through noon daily at the church. Extended care is also an option this year, ranging anytime between 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Children and their families are invited to attend two special celebrations on Thursday evening and Sunday morning.
Each day at VBS the children experience a Bible story, learn praise and worship songs, express their creativity through crafts, run off energy outside with supervised games and refuel with refreshments. Activities in every center reinforce the daily theme and Bible story. To help children experience the faith and to be involved in a hands-on mission, we take an offering each day to support a mission relating to the theme of Vacation Bible School.
There is no fee for VBS as Nardin wishes this to be a “gift” to the girls and boys who are able to attend. There will be an hourly nominal fee for those choose to take advantage of the extended care hours. Registration forms are available starting in June.
