Special Christian Education Programs
Special programs occur throughout the year and provide additional
opportunities for children to come together for a specific purpose of
learning and outreach.
Family Together Events
These events are planned for all of our church
“family”. You do not need to have small children in your home to
participate. These events are meant to be intergenerational
gatherings that bring us all together in a child friendly atmosphere.
Children’s Christmas Pageant is an opportunity
for children to retell the Christmas story as we prepare for the birth
of Christ.
Easter Egg-Stravagant Hunt is a time to make
Easter projects, dye Easter eggs, meet the Bunny Lady and look for
Easter eggs on the church lawn.
Kids At the Park Vacation Bible
School, in the
second half of June, is always a unique experience and a highlight of the
year for everyone involved.
Kids Care Club for elementary children,
provides focus, food, friends and fun!. Whether sorting food baskets for
the needy or playing bingo with seniors these once-a-month hands-on
activities provide friends, food, focus and fun!
Share and Care opportunities are planned
throughout the year to help children experience the fulfillment of
caring for others. Collecting for UNICEF, providing mittens and socks
for the Warm Fuzzy Tree or bringing food for the hungry give children a
lesson in love as well as supply needs for others.
United
Methodist Camps offered by the Detroit
Conference of the United Methodist Church offers a variety of
camping programs for all ages throughout the state of Michigan .
Fall Harvest Festival is an evening of fun for
all. This night includes dinner as well as activities that center around
a fall theme.
Advent Wreath Making Supper will provide charm
and meaning to family Christmas traditions. Families will share in
making an Advent Wreath to take home along with a devotional booklet to
add to their Christmas celebrations. A supper is included in the evening
festivities.
Dancin’ In The Park is a special evening with
the church family. What a great time to gather together and beat the
winter blahs. Singles, couples, families and people of all ages are
invited to come dance, (or pretend you know how to dance).
