Adult Education

Throughout the year, we offer many opportunities for Adult Education.  Some are on-going and some are special one-time offerings.  Summer schedules may vary from the information below.  Contact the office for additional information.

Ongoing Classes

BOOK STUDY: Contemporary books are selected by the group and discussed informally in the parlor on Tuesdays 9:30 a.m.

SATURDAY MEN’S MORNING BIBLE BOOK CLUB: An informal Bible study with other men, using the common lectionary as a guide. Coffee and bagels accompany the discussion. Sat. 8:30-10:00 a.m.

CHRONIC PAIN SUPPORT GROUP offers support and direction under the guidance of a professional psychologist and ordained minister, for those who suffer from chronic pain. Meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Wes Brun.

NOOMA: women gather the first Sunday of each month at 8:30am. This is an opportunity to take a breath (Nooma is the phonetic spelling of the Greek word for breath) to relax, enjoy breakfast, fellowship and spiritual renewal.

Periodically Scheduled Classes

DISCIPLE: Nardin Park is enrolled in an in-depth study of the Bible known as DISCIPLE.  DISCIPLE is for people hungry for God's word, for fellowship in prayer and study, and for biblically informed guidance in ministry. Eight weeks studies make this life-changing course available and accessible for more people.

Discipleship YOUniversity: Held in January and February, Discipleship YOUniversity offers a choice of Adult Educations programs along with classes for children and youth to help attendees understand and apply their faith.

Lenten Studies: Special study programs held during lent to focus our thoughts together.

Women’s Spiritual Retreat: Lake Huron Retreat Center will be the setting for a special time away to “Remember Who You Are”, a retreat especially designed to meet the needs of women.
