Jesus said,
“Let the children come to me; do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.” Mark 10:14

Spiritual Guidance is at the core of building one’s faith, and turning that faith into action.  It begins when we are children and continues throughout our  lives.

At Nardin Park, we provide opportunities across all of those years, starting with the youngest.   Recognizing children as vital members of the family of faith, we provide a comfortable, safe place where girls and boys can experience God’s love.   When children  are secure in an appropriate environment, they reveal a love of learning, the ability of self-direction and a deep spiritual nature.

Volunteers are trained to assist paid professional staff in nurturing the children, not only in “Godly Play” rooms on Sundays but through special programs throughout the week and at special times during the year.

A great week in summer is our Arts Camp (Vacation Bible School) program.

Bibles are presented in September to children in the third grade.  They are then guided in the use of their Bible throughout the year on Sunday mornings in their “Godly Play” rooms and at Night @ The Park in Bible 235.  We also give age appropriate Bibles to Toddlers,  3-4 year olds, and Kindergartners through 2nd graders.

We also provide parent education and support groups to assist the parents of the children.

Nardin Park Policy for the Protection of Children is signed by all volunteers and employees who assist in children’s ministries.  This means volunteers have undergone a background check, training, and their references have been contacted.
